Governor Malombe Pledges Piped Water and Borehole for Matinyani DEB Primary School

Kitui Governor Dr. Julius Malombe has pledged to provide piped water from Masinga and a borehole to serve Matinyani DEB Primary School and the surrounding community, in a move aimed at alleviating persistent water shortages in the area.

Speaking during a burial ceremony at the school grounds in Kitui West Sub-county, Governor Malombe reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to delivering tangible development across the county, with water provision being a key priority.

“We are determined to ensure that essential services like water reach every corner of this county. Matinyani DEB Primary School and its community will soon benefit from reliable, piped water from Masinga and an additional borehole,” the Governor said.

The announcement was made during the funeral service of the late Johnson Mwanza Muli, a respected educationist who retired as an Education Officer in 1999. Malombe paid tribute to the late Muli, describing him as a dedicated servant of education who left a lasting impact on the community.

Area MCA Sylvester Munyalo lauded the county government’s leadership and expressed optimism that the water project would significantly improve the lives of local residents, particularly schoolchildren.

The Governor’s pledge marks a step forward in addressing the pressing water needs of Matinyani and reflects the broader development agenda of his administration.
