Machakos Secures Key Partnerships for Forest Protection, Humanitarian Aid, and Industrial Growth

Governor Wavinya Ndeti has reinforced her administration’s commitment to environmental stewardship and economic development through a series of strategic agreements.

During a meeting with the Kenya Forest Service (KFS) team, led by Chief Conservator of Forests Mr. Alex Lemarkoko, Governor Ndeti affirmed her dedication to safeguarding Machakos’ forests. An MOU was signed for the transfer and protection of county forests, with Governor Ndeti stating, “I would like to see our forests flourish, and with my team, I will give whatever support to ensure we protect our forests.”

The Governor also welcomed a delegation from the Kenya Red Cross, led by Secretary General Dr. Ahmed Idris, to sign an MOU. This partnership will enable the Red Cross to establish a new warehouse, administration block, and training institute in Machakos.

Concluding a day of pivotal engagements, Governor Ndeti oversaw the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Machakos County Government and the Association of American Chinese CEO Society (ACCS). This landmark agreement is set to bring a state-of-the-art industrial park to the nascent Machakos City.

Governor Ndeti emphasized the county’s ongoing efforts to cultivate a dynamic and supportive environment for all investors and partners.
