“While Governor Wavinya Works Day and Night for Machakos, Idle Tourist Waita Spews Empty Rhetoric Without a Single Achievement”

Former Presidential Delivery Unit (PDU) boss Nzioka Waita has once again stepped into the Machakos political arena, throwing words around as if the people of this county have short memories. But residents are not amused o they remember all too well that during his years at the heart of State House operations under President Uhuru Kenyatta, Machakos County benefited absolutely nothing.

Waita, who now parades himself as a champion of development, is being accused of hypocrisy and political tourism. When he had the power, resources, and access to the highest office in the land, he did nothing for Machakos. No landmark project, no major investment, no meaningful intervention just empty promises and polished speeches.

And now, instead of explaining why he abandoned Machakos when it needed him most, he has chosen to take cheap shots at Governor Wavinya Ndeti. This is not only disrespectful but also laughable to the people who have seen Wavinya working day and night to improve health services, roads, water supply, and economic empowerment.

Unlike Waita, Governor Wavinya is on the ground every single day inspecting projects, launching new initiatives, and fighting for better funding for Machakos. Her leadership is visible in action, not just in microphones and press conferences.

Residents are now openly telling Waita to stop the political comedy and face reality: leadership is about service, not soundbites. Machakos needs builders, not talkers. If he could not deliver when he was seated at the very nerve centre of government, what exactly does he expect people to believe he will deliver now?

For Machakos, the choice is clear words without action belong in the past. The future is for leaders who work, and Wavinya Ndeti is proving she is one of them.
