Governor Malombe Champions United Front in Mombasa Consultative Forum

Kitui Governor Dr. Julius Malombe, CBS, has reaffirmed his commitment to steering the county’s development agenda with a clear focus on collaboration, transparency, and tangible results for the people of Kitui.

Speaking in Mombasa today during the official opening of consultative sessions between the County Executive and the County Assembly, Governor Malombe underscored the importance of aligning priorities as his administration enters the final phase of its current term.

Since 2022, the Governor revealed, the County Government has successfully rolled out 2,244 development projects across all 40 wards, a milestone he described as a testament to his administration’s unwavering dedication to grassroots transformation.

“As the leadership entrusted with delivering services to our people, we must continue working as a team Executive and Assembly to consolidate progress and push Kitui forward,” Dr. Malombe said. He emphasized that beyond project delivery, effective communication of these milestones to the public is critical to ensuring citizens appreciate the value of ongoing investments.

The Mombasa sessions, he noted, provide a vital platform for ministries to showcase achievements, address challenges, and chart the way forward for sustainable development.

Kitui County Assembly Speaker, Hon. Kevin Kinengo, echoed the Governor’s sentiments, calling for strengthened ties between the Executive and the Assembly. “Our mandate is one to serve the people of Kitui. Effective collaboration is the engine that will drive socio-economic growth in this county,” he said.

Governor Malombe, widely regarded as the chief architect of Kitui’s development blueprint, reiterated that his administration remains people-centered, with a focus on ensuring that every project leaves an impact on households and communities.

The ongoing consultative sessions are expected to harmonize priorities, unlock bottlenecks, and reaffirm the county’s resolve to deliver inclusive growth and prosperity.
