On Tuesday, the Governor hosted Yimy Yu, Director of Rideence Africa Limited, in a strategic meeting focused on accelerating the adoption of electric mobility solutions within the county.
Governor Mutula underscored Makueni’s growing status as a key logistics and transport hub, strategically located to support regional connectivity and industrial expansion. He reaffirmed the county government’s commitment to creating an enabling environment for sustainable investments, particularly in the green energy and transport sectors.
Rideence Africa, which operates East Africa’s largest electric vehicle ride-hailing fleet, signaled strong interest in establishing an electric vehicle assembly plant along Makueni’s transport corridor.
