“Duale, Remove Your Camels!” – Furious Kaiti MP Joshua Kimilu Tells CS Aden Duale as Death Toll Hits Eight

A storm of anger is sweeping across Kitui County after Kaiti MP Joshua Kimilu launched a fierce and emotional attack on Cabinet Secretary for Health Aden Duale, demanding the immediate removal of camels from Mwingi North.

In a strongly worded statement, Kimilu did not hold back, directly telling Duale to “remove your camels” from the region, blaming their presence for the escalating wave of violence that has now claimed eight lives.

The latest victim a Grade Five boy from Nguni Ward was brutally killed in an incident that has shaken the entire county. His death pushed the toll from last week’s attacks from seven to eight, igniting fury among leaders and residents alike.
Kimilu, visibly angered, accused the government of ignoring repeated warnings and allowing a security crisis to spiral out of control.

“How many more lives must we lose?” he posed. “We are not going to sit back as our people are butchered. CS Duale must act now remove your camels from Kitui before more blood is shed.”

The MP described the killings as senseless and avoidable, insisting that the continued movement of camel herders in the region has brought fear, destruction, and death to local communities. He warned that patience among residents is running out.

“This is not negotiation. This is a demand,” Kimilu declared. “Our people deserve to live in peace on their land. Enough is enough.”

Residents of Nguni Ward and the wider Mwingi North area have expressed deep fear and frustration, saying they are under constant threat. Many have backed the MP’s tough stance, calling for urgent government intervention and enhanced security deployment.

As tensions rise, pressure is mounting on national authorities to respond decisively and restore order in the troubled region before the situation deteriorates further.
