Makasi Emerges Strong Contender for Wiper Ticket After High-Profile Yatta Meeting

Kitui Women Representative aspirant Hon. Fridah Makasi has continued to strengthen her political influence ahead of the 2027 General Election after joining senior leaders and professionals at a high-level Wiper Patriotic Front meeting held in Yatta.

The meeting, which brought together professionals, grassroots mobilizers, youth leaders, and key party stakeholders, was led by the Wiper Patriotic Front leadership and focused on strengthening the party’s unity, development agenda, and preparedness for the 2027 elections.

Hon. Makasi, who is increasingly being viewed as the frontrunner for the Wiper Patriotic Front ticket for Kitui Women Representative, received a warm reception from delegates who praised her leadership, commitment to empowering women and youth, and her growing connection with the people across Kitui County.

Speaking during the meeting, Makasi reaffirmed her loyalty to the Wiper Patriotic Front and pledged to work closely with the party leadership in advancing the interests of the people of Kitui. She emphasized the need for visionary leadership, economic empowerment, quality education, and improved opportunities for women and young people.

Political observers now believe Makasi’s growing presence in key party activities signals rising confidence within the Wiper Patriotic Front ranks regarding her possible endorsement as the party’s preferred candidate for the Women Representative seat in 2027.

Leaders attending the Yatta meeting called for unity among party supporters and urged professionals to actively participate in shaping the county’s future through transformative leadership and issue-based politics.

The Yatta engagement is seen as another major political milestone for Hon. Makasi as she continues to consolidate support across Kitui County while positioning herself as a strong voice for inclusive leadership, development, and empowerment ahead of the highly anticipated 2027 polls.
