Governor Wavinya Ndeti’s Infrastructure Agenda Transforms Ndithini as Key Road Project Opens Up Economic Opportunities.

Residents of Ndithini Ward are set to benefit from improved connectivity, enhanced access to essential services, and expanded economic opportunities following the ongoing road opening works along the Ndithini Market, Kwa Manthi–Kivaani Centre Road.

The transformative project, being implemented by the County Government of Machakos through the Department of Roads under the flagship Barabara Mashinani Initiative, is a clear demonstration of Governor Wavinya Ndeti’s commitment to delivering quality infrastructure and improving the livelihoods of residents across the county.

Once completed, the road will significantly ease movement for residents, farmers, traders, students, and other road users by providing reliable access to key social and economic facilities. The improved road network is expected to enhance access to healthcare services, schools, electricity infrastructure, markets, and other critical amenities that support community development.

Speaking on the importance of the project, county officials noted that the road will play a vital role in unlocking the economic potential of the area by facilitating the transportation of agricultural produce and boosting trade activities within Ndithini and neighboring areas.

The project forms part of Governor Wavinya Ndeti’s broader development agenda aimed at strengthening rural infrastructure and ensuring that every ward benefits from improved road connectivity. Through the Barabara Mashinani programme, the county administration continues to prioritize investments that stimulate local economies, create opportunities for growth, and improve access to public services.

Residents have welcomed the initiative, expressing optimism that the improved road will reduce travel time, lower transportation costs, and enhance access to opportunities that were previously limited by poor infrastructure.

As the works progress, the Ndithini Market–Kwa Manthi–Kivaani Centre Road stands as another milestone in Governor Wavinya Ndeti’s vision of building a well-connected, prosperous, and inclusive Machakos County where infrastructure serves as a catalyst for sustainable socio-economic transformation.
