Mogo kenya empowers kitui boda boda riders with safety training and free bike servicing

Becky Ngigi, the Public Communication Officer at MOGO Kenya, today led a successful boda boda safety training and empowerment program at Kitui Stadium in Kitui. The event brought together hundreds of boda boda riders and their customers for an important engagement aimed at promoting road safety and improving service delivery in the transport sector.

The training focused on equipping boda boda riders with essential knowledge on safe riding practices, customer care, and road discipline. Riders were sensitized on the importance of adhering to traffic rules and ensuring the safety of both passengers and fellow road users.

Speaking to the media during the event, Becky Ngigi said that MOGO Kenya remains committed to supporting boda boda riders, who play a critical role in the country’s transport industry. She noted that empowering riders with the right knowledge and tools helps improve safety standards and enhances professionalism in the sector.

As part of the initiative, MOGO Kenya distributed riding gear to boda boda riders, including helmets, reflectors, and other safety equipment to enhance their protection while on the road. In addition, the organization offered free motorbike servicing to ensure the motorcycles remained in good condition for safe and efficient operations.

The event was well received by riders and residents, with many applauding MOGO Kenya for the initiative. Participants expressed gratitude for the training and support, saying the program would greatly help improve their work and safety on the roads of Kitui County.
