Kitui Governor Dr. Julius Malombe has launched the Kitui County Infrastructure Projects Dashboard, a digital platform designed to enhance transparency, accountability, and tracking of development projects across the county.
Speaking during the launch at the Governor’s Office Grounds, Governor Malombe said the dashboard marks a major step in strengthening transparent governance and improving service delivery in Kitui.
The platform contains records of 12,423 infrastructure projects implemented across Kitui County since the start of devolution in 2013 up to June 30, 2025.
According to the Governor, the projects include water, roads, education, health, energy, agriculture, governance, and other key sectors, reflecting the county’s development progress under devolution.
Governor Malombe highlighted major achievements in education, noting that 1,403 modern ECDE classrooms have been constructed, significantly improving learning conditions for young learners across the county.
He added that the dashboard provides details on project locations, implementation years, and financial allocations, with all projects geo-referenced for easy tracking and verification.
The platform also includes a public feedback feature, allowing residents to submit comments and concerns, further promoting accountability and public participation.
Governor Malombe urged residents and stakeholders to actively use the dashboard to support transparency and data-driven development in Kitui County.
