Kitui County’s incoming Woman Representative hopeful, Hon. Fridah Makasi, yesterday accompanied Wiper Party leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka to the burial of the late Dr. Musili Munyambu at Kalisasi in Mwingi Central, where she continued to strengthen her connection with residents ahead of the 2027 General Election.
Hon. Makasi joined the bereaved family, friends, neighbours and the local community in paying tribute to the late Dr. Munyambu, describing him as a dedicated professional whose service to society would remain an inspiration.
While addressing mourners, she conveyed her heartfelt condolences to the family and urged them to remain united during the difficult period. She also popularized the Wiper Patriotic Front (WPF) agenda, calling on residents to rally behind Dr. Kalonzo Musyoka’s presidential bid and expressing confidence that he has the leadership qualities to become Kenya’s sixth President.
Hon. Makasi further outlined her vision for Kitui County, pledging to champion women and youth empowerment, education, economic development and improved livelihoods. Her message received a warm reception from the mourners.
Other leaders who attended the burial included Kitui Woman Representative Irene Kasalu, Mwingi Central MP Gideon Mulyungi, parliamentary aspirants Hon. Ngenga and Hon. Koki Musau, Senate aspirant Dr. Stephen Mbaya Kimwele, among other leaders.
