The Kitui East incoming Member of Parliament, Hon. Simon Katua Mutia, popularly known as Mkombozi, yesterday accompanied President William Ruto during his development tour of Kitui East Constituency, reaffirming his growing influence and commitment to championing transformative projects for the area.
During the visit to Zombe, the President inspected the ongoing construction of the Zombe Modern Market and the upgrading of the 25-kilometre Chuluni–Zombe Road, two flagship projects expected to boost trade, improve transport, and stimulate economic growth across the constituency.
Mkombozi welcomed the projects, saying they would significantly improve the livelihoods of residents by enhancing access to markets, creating employment opportunities, and opening up the region for greater investment. He reiterated his commitment to working closely with the national government to ensure Kitui East continues to receive its fair share of development.
Residents who attended the inspection praised Mkombozi for his visible leadership and close engagement with the national leadership, expressing confidence that his development-oriented agenda positions him as the preferred choice to lead Kitui East into a new era of progress.
