Former Mbooni Member of Parliament and the constituency’s incoming MP hopeful, Hon. Michael Kisoi Munyao, has declared his unwavering support for President Dr. William Ruto, saying the Head of State has demonstrated unmatched commitment to empowering women across Kenya.
Speaking during a public engagement, Kisoi said that since Kenya attained independence in 1963, no president has done more to uplift and economically empower women than President Ruto. He noted that the President’s deliberate policies and development agenda have opened greater opportunities for women through economic empowerment, leadership appointments, and access to government programs.
Kisoi stated that it is because of this transformative leadership that he, together with Kibwezi West MP Hon. Mwengi Mutuse, Principal Secretary Terry Mbaika, and other like-minded leaders, have resolved to work closely with President Ruto to ensure the people of Ukambani fully benefit from the government’s development agenda.
The former legislator emphasized that politics should be driven by development rather than division, adding that leaders from the region must embrace partnerships that deliver tangible benefits to wananchi.
“As leaders, our responsibility is to stand where the interests of our people are best served. President William Ruto has shown commitment to empowering women and transforming lives, and that is why we have chosen to work with him for the good of the people of Ukambani,” Kisoi said.
Widely regarded as one of the leading contenders for the Mbooni parliamentary seat in 2027, Kisoi reiterated his commitment to championing development, unity, and inclusive leadership. He pledged to continue supporting initiatives that create opportunities for women, youth, and vulnerable groups while advocating for more national government projects in the region.
His remarks further reinforced his growing profile as a development-oriented leader keen on ensuring that Mbooni and the wider Ukambani region remain firmly on the path of progress through constructive engagement with the national government.
