Kaki Nyamai’s Development Footprint Takes Shape at Kikwa Primary School.

A series of development projects at Kikwa Primary School is highlighting the growing impact of constituency development initiatives under the leadership of Kitui South MP Hon. Dr. Rachael Kaki Nyamai, CBS.

The projects, implemented through the Kitui South NG-CDF, include the construction of classrooms, an administration block, a tuition block, a modern pit-latrine facility and provision of a water storage tank interventions aimed at improving the learning environment and welfare of pupils.

Among the visible projects is a newly constructed administration block, funded during the 2021/2022 financial year, providing the school with dedicated space for administrative functions.
The school has also benefited from the construction of additional classrooms. One classroom was funded during the 2023/2024 financial year, while another project provided a two-classroom tuition block, fully equipped under the NG-CDF’s Best Practice Demonstration Programme.

Sanitation has equally received attention, with the construction of a one-unit pit-latrine facility funded through Kitui South NG-CDF emergency funds in the 2024/2025 financial year.
The school has further benefited from water infrastructure, including a large storage tank funded by the NG-CDF under the Bursary and Presidential Development Programme (B-PDP) during the 2023/2024 financial year.

For Dr. Kaki Nyamai, the interventions represent a deliberate focus on improving basic infrastructure in schools across Kitui South, particularly facilities that directly affect pupils’ learning, hygiene and overall welfare.

The developments at Kikwa Primary School demonstrate how constituency development funds can be channelled towards practical projects that address immediate needs at the grassroots.

As the MP continues to champion development within Kitui South, the projects at Kikwa Primary School stand as a visible reminder of her emphasis on education infrastructure, sanitation and access to essential services as key pillars of constituency development.
