Governor Wavinya Ndeti Strengthens Early Childhood Education with New Classroom at Mbee ECDE Centre

Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti has reaffirmed her administration’s commitment to strengthening Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE) through improved learning infrastructure and better facilities for young learners.

Governor Ndeti made the commitment at Mbee ECDE Centre in Kathiani Central Ward, where she opened a modern and fully equipped classroom designed to provide a safe, conducive and supportive learning environment for children.

The new classroom expands the centre’s learning space while giving young learners an improved environment in which to learn, grow and develop. The Governor further announced that a water tank will be delivered next week, while construction of a dedicated washroom for ECDE learners is also set to be undertaken.

The investments underline Governor Ndeti’s broader focus on putting children at the heart of Machakos County’s development agenda, recognising that quality education begins with adequate facilities and a safe learning environment.
By prioritising ECDE infrastructure, Governor Ndeti is laying a stronger foundation for the county’s youngest generation while ensuring that children in Kathiani have access to facilities that support their education and wellbeing.

The Governor said continued investment in early childhood development remains essential to building a brighter future for both Kathiani and Machakos County.
