Kitui South MP Hon. Dr Rachael Kaki Nyamai, CBS, reaffirmed her commitment to preserving Kamba culture and strengthening community unity when she attended the annual Kithio kya Mukamba Cultural Festival in Kasaala Town, Ikutha Ward.
The festival brought together elders, women and youth to celebrate Kamba heritage, with traditional foods taking centre stage. The event sought to encourage the community to embrace indigenous foods while educating younger generations on their cultural, nutritional and historical significance.
Dr Kaki Nyamai emphasised the importance of preserving cultural traditions for future generations, noting that cultural heritage remained an important foundation for community identity, unity and development.
Her participation underscored her continued support for community-led initiatives that promote Kamba heritage while empowering residents and strengthening social cohesion across Kitui South.
