Former Mbooni MP Hon. Michael Kisoi Munyao has reaffirmed his commitment to women’s economic empowerment and sustainable development after attending a successful Women Economic Empowerment Drive at Kitise/Kithuki Ward, Makueni Constituency.
The programme, hosted by Hon. Fred Muteti, brought together women and leaders to promote table banking, collective savings, entrepreneurship and community-based investments as pathways to greater financial independence.
Kisoi, who is increasingly emerging as the people’s choice ahead of the 2027 elections, commended Muteti for the well-organised initiative, describing women’s economic empowerment as a strategic investment in stronger households and productive communities.
The event was also attended by Prof. Philip Kaloki, Hon. Mwengi Mutuse, Dr. Damaris Maweu and Hon. Wavinya Nzioka, among other leaders and stakeholders.
Kisoi further lauded President William Ruto’s administration for advancing economic transformation in Ukambani, urging the region to embrace constructive leadership focused on ideas, partnerships and tangible development.
He said the future of Ukambani lies in empowering its people and creating opportunities that deliver lasting socio-economic progress.
