Kitui County Government employees are expected to receive their delayed salaries by September 11, 2026, County Executive Committee Member for Finance Peter Mwikya Kilonzo has assured.
Speaking on the salary delays, Kilonzo urged county employees to remain patient as the government works to finalise the necessary processes to ensure they receive their dues.
The Finance Minister acknowledged the concerns raised by employees over the delay, assuring them that efforts were underway to facilitate payment by the stated date.
Kilonzo called on the workers to remain calm and patient, saying the county administration was committed to addressing the matter and ensuring employees receive their salaries.
The assurance is expected to ease concerns among county workers who have been waiting for their August salaries, with September 11 now given as the expected payment date.
