Hon. Dr. Rachael Kaki Nyamai, CBS, is heading into the 2027 Kitui South race with her supporters insisting she does not need any party leader to camp in the constituency, raise her hand and beg residents to vote for her.
Her allies have taken a swipe at rival aspirants who, despite yapping about unseating the super MP, are allegedly relying heavily on party leaders and nomination tickets to build their campaigns.
The four-term Kaki movement, they say, is already firmly rooted on the ground and unstoppable.
The warning to her challengers is blunt: party tickets do not vote Kitui South residents do. And come 2027, Kaki’s supporters expect the second-placed candidate to trail her by more than 20,000 votes.
