Mwengi Mutuse Commends Community Spirit During AGAPE Church Anniversary in Kisingo

Kibwezi West MP Hon. Mwengi Mutuse, OGW, has lauded the AGAPE Church and the Kisaae community for their remarkable show of unity and generosity during the church’s second anniversary celebrations in Ikungu, Kisingo location.

Speaking at the event, Hon. Mutuse described the occasion as “one of its kind,” expressing his heartfelt gratitude for being part of what he termed a rare and moving gesture — a community-funded celebration where his role was simply to participate and share a meal with the residents.

“It was very heartwarming to congregate with the AGAPE Church and Kisaae community during their two years’ anniversary in this area of Ikungu. This is one of the very rare events where the community catered for all the expenses, and my work was to participate and dine with them. I’m extremely touched by this rare gesture,” he said.

The MP praised the vibrant church service and the strong turnout, saying the event was a testament to the power of faith and the bright future that lies ahead for the nation’s leadership.

He also took the opportunity to outline key development plans for the region. These include the electrification of households in Ikungu, as well as the energizing of newly installed power lines to Nduluni and Kamboo, which will benefit nearby markets, public facilities, and homes.

In addition, Hon. Mutuse revealed ongoing efforts to secure funding to rehabilitate the Kisingo-Ikungu-Nduluni-Yindalani road, a vital county link currently in poor condition.

“Asanteni sana AGAPE Church and Kisaae community for your visibly genuine love,” Mutuse concluded. “May your church continue to grow from strength to strength.”

The event marked not only a spiritual milestone for the AGAPE congregation but also a moment of reaffirmation for community-driven development and leadership partnership in Kibwezi West.
