Former Deputy President and DCP party leader Rigathi Gachagua has made explosive allegations against President William Ruto, claiming there is a state-sponsored plot to eliminate him. Speaking at a press conference, Gachagua said he received intelligence during a church service in Gatanga that the President had ordered his elimination after repeated failed attempts by alleged government-sponsored goons.
Gachagua further claimed police were instructed to plant weapons in his convoy to frame him. He accused Ruto of being enraged by his exposure of a land grab in Ngong Forest and ongoing reminders of the Kiambaa Church massacre. According to Gachagua, there are plans to disarm his licensed security team to make him vulnerable to attacks.
He dismissed remarks by Interior CS regarding chaos at a DCP event, insisting his party has genuine grassroots support. Gachagua challenged the government to arrest him lawfully if he has committed any crime, warning that intimidation tactics will not derail the DCP’s momentum or silence public calls for justice and development.
