Makindu Gen Z Youth Submit Letter to OCS Ahead of Planned Peaceful Demonstrations

A section of Generation Z youth from Makindu region in Makueni County have formally written a notification letter to the Officer Commanding Station (OCS) at the Makindu Police Station, informing the authorities of their intention to participate in a peaceful demonstration.

According to the letter, the youths have scheduled the demonstration for the 25th of this month. The purpose of the protest is to voice their concerns on various issues affecting the country, particularly regarding governance and the high cost of living. The notification is in line with the constitutional right to peaceful assembly and public participation.

The youth emphasized that the demonstration will be conducted in a peaceful and orderly manner, and that the letter serves as a formal communication to ensure coordination with law enforcement for security and crowd management during the march.
