Makali Mulu Graces Thanksgiving Event in Yatta Kwa Vonza, Urges Youth to Arm Themselves with Voter’s Card Ahead of 2027

Kitui Central Member of Parliament Dr. Makali Mulu on Friday joined residents of Yatta Kwa Vonza Ward in Kitui Rural for a colourful thanksgiving ceremony hosted by area MCA Hon. Mark Kitute Nding’o at his Mamole home.

The event, which also marked the official launch of the Mark Kitute Nding’o Foundation, brought together leaders, residents, and youth from across the county to celebrate the MCA’s midterm development achievements and his commitment to service delivery.

In his address, Dr. Makali Mulu applauded Hon. Kitute for his impactful projects and his dedication to uplifting the lives of his constituents. He described the Foundation as a timely and noble initiative that will go a long way in supporting needy and bright learners, as well as other vulnerable groups within the ward.

Turning his focus to national matters, Dr. Mulu rallied the youth particularly the Gen Z generation to register for national identification cards and acquire voter’s cards as a strategic step towards shaping the country’s future.

“Your weapon in 2027 will not be protests or hashtags. It will be your vote. Get your ID and voter’s card ready,” said Makali, drawing cheers from the crowd.

He further called on the electorate across the county and the country at large to unite behind Wiper Democratic Movement leader Dr. Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka, stating that he remains the only credible and tested leader capable of rescuing the country from its current socio-economic challenges.

“Kalonzo is a patriot and a leader with a clean track record. If there’s anyone who can fix Kenya, it’s him. Let’s give him the mandate come 2027,” Makali urged.

Dr. Mulu, widely seen as the front-runner in the race to succeed Governor Julius Malombe in 2027, received a warm welcome from the people of Kitui Rural, with many chanting his name and expressing their support for his leadership ambitions.

Hon. Mark Kitute, on his part, used the event to express gratitude to his constituents for their continued trust and support. He highlighted key milestones achieved during his first half of the term, including improved access to education, water, road infrastructure, and empowerment programs for youth and women.

“This foundation is just the beginning. We will continue to work with partners and leaders to ensure no one is left behind,” Kitute affirmed.

The event was marked by a strong show of unity among Wiper leaders and supporters, with a recurring message: prepare, organize, and vote for change in 2027.
