Kitui west incoming mp Generali Kimanga Boosts Local Talent with Donation of Footballs to Kyaani FC

The spirit of sportsmanship and youth empowerment received a major lift earlier today after the incoming Kitui West MP, Generali Fredrick Kimanga, made a generous donation of footballs to Kyaani FC, one of the region’s most promising community football teams.

Although Generali Kimanga had other serious engagements and was unable to attend the event in person, he sent his trusted representative, Anthony Yuli, popularly known as Kavinga, to deliver the footballs on his behalf. The gesture was warmly welcomed by players, coaches, and local residents, further underscoring the incoming MP’s commitment to nurturing local talent and promoting meaningful youth engagement through sports.

Speaking during the brief handover ceremony, Anthony Yuli conveyed Generali Kimanga’s message, emphasizing the importance of supporting young people and creating opportunities that steer them toward growth and away from social challenges.

“Sports play a major role in shaping disciplined, focused, and united communities. Our youth have great potential, and as leaders, it is our responsibility to equip them with the tools and opportunities they need to shine,” read the message from Generali Kimanga.

Team officials expressed deep gratitude to the incoming MP, noting that the donation comes at a crucial time as Kyaani FC prepares for upcoming local tournaments. They described the support as timely, encouraging, and highly motivating.

Players also celebrated the moment, saying the new footballs will greatly enhance their training, coordination, and match readiness.

Generali Kimanga reaffirmed, through his representative, his commitment to continue supporting sports development across Kitui West. He promised more partnerships and initiatives aimed at empowering young people and building a vibrant sporting culture in the constituency.

As anticipation builds toward his leadership, today’s donation is viewed by many as a strong signal of the transformative and people-centered approach he intends to bring to Kitui West.
