Incoming MP kitui west constituency Generali kimanga Comforts Family of Businessman Killed by Assailants

The incoming Member of Parliament for Kitui West, Generali kimanga, who has continued to win the hearts and trust of residents across the constituency, has strongly condemned the brutal killing of a Kabati businessman and called on security agencies to act swiftly.

Speaking during a condolence visit on Tuesday evening, the MP joined the family, friends, and mourners of the late Shabiki, a well-known and hardworking businessman who was attacked and killed by unknown armed assailants at his workplace in Kabati Market.

The MP described the late Shabiki as “a dedicated, humble, and industrious man whose commitment to his work made him a pillar in the Kabati community.”

He noted that the incident has left the entire area in deep shock, adding that no family should ever endure such pain at the hands of criminals operating freely within communities.

“I offer my deepest condolences to the family of the late Shabiki. This tragic loss is not only a personal blow to his loved ones, but also to the entire Kabati community that cherished him,” he said while addressing mourners at Kwota Mwaki.

Calling the attack “heinous and unacceptable,” the MP urged security agencies to expedite investigations and bring the perpetrators to justice without delay.

He reiterated his commitment to prioritizing security across Kitui West once he assumes office, stating that residents deserve to live and work in a safe environment.

“I stand with the family during this painful moment. May the Almighty comfort you and grant you strength in this dark hour. Shabiki’s memory and legacy will remain alive in Kitui West,” he added.

The late Shabiki’s death has sparked widespread calls for tighter security in Kabati and surrounding areas, with community members urging authorities to prevent similar incidents in the future.

During the visit, community members requested the incoming MP, popularly known as Generali, to assist them with improved lighting to support night vigils and “Kwota Mwaki” gatherings, which are common during mourning ceremonies.

Moved by their appeal, Generali donated two floodlights on the spot to support such events in the area. The gesture was received with overwhelming joy and gratitude from the mourners and local residents.

May his soul rest in eternal peace.
