Kitui West incoming Member of Parliament and Kitui County Executive Committee Member for Lands, Housing and Urban Development, Waziri Fredrick Kimanga, on Saturday attended the burial ceremony of the late Nicholas Mutiso Ngimbwa at Katheka Village, Kitui West Sub-County.
The late Ngimbwa was the father of Benedict Muasya, the Commissioner of Revenue Allocation (CRA). The ceremony drew national and county leaders, local administrators, and residents who gathered to mourn and celebrate the life of a respected family patriarch.
Waziri Kimanga attended the burial on behalf of the Kitui County Government, conveying messages of condolences and solidarity to the bereaved family. He described the late Nicholas Mutiso Ngimbwa as a humble elder whose values of hard work, discipline, and service to the community were evident in the leadership path taken by his son.
While addressing mourners, Waziri Kimanga took the opportunity to highlight ongoing development initiatives being undertaken jointly by the Kitui County Government and the National Government through his ministry. He disclosed that the County Government, under the Ministry of Lands, Housing and Urban Development, has already provided land to facilitate the construction and expansion of key markets, including Kabati Market, Tulia, Mingwani, and Kalundu, aimed at boosting local trade and improving livelihoods.
He further noted that the county has allocated land for affordable housing projects at Manyenyoni, adding that engagements between the county and national governments are ongoing to ensure the full actualization of these plans. Waziri emphasized that these projects are part of a broader agenda to promote urban development, create jobs, and enhance dignified living for residents across Kitui County.
The Lands CEC reaffirmed the county government’s commitment to working closely with all stakeholders to deliver sustainable development, urging residents to continue supporting government programs for the benefit of future generations.
Waziri Kimanga was accompanied by the Kitui County Chief Officer in charge of Drugs and Substance Abuse, Aggrey Mutinda Kamba, alongside other county officials. The burial ceremony was marked by emotional tributes, prayers, and a strong show of unity as the community stood with the Muasya family during their time of loss.
