TANATHI Gets New CEO as Board Oversees Smooth Handover

The Tana Athi Water Works Development Agency (TANATHI) has ushered in a new phase of leadership following a successful handover ceremony from Acting Chief Executive Officer Mr. Francis Siva to the incoming substantive CEO, Mr. Sammy Naporos.

Mr Naporos, the new boss is a highly distinguished technocrat who beat the odds to emerge top in the recruitment process. Until his appointment, he was the CEO of Kerio Valley Development Authority.

The ceremony, held at the TANATHI Boardroom in Kitui, was presided over by the Board of Directors led by Chairperson Hon. Regina Ndambuki and attended by members of the agency’s management team.

Hon. Ndambuki congratulated Mr. Naporos on his appointment and urged the management to give him full support, noting that his vast experience would be key in strengthening service delivery. She said the appointment of a substantive CEO marked the end of leadership challenges previously faced by the agency and signaled a new era of stability, teamwork and strategic focus.

She also commended Mr. Siva for his dedication and steady leadership during the transition period.
In his remarks, Mr. Naporos praised Mr. Siva for steering the agency through a challenging acting period and assured the Board of continuity, collaboration and positive engagement with staff.

Mr. Siva, in turn, welcomed the new CEO and pledged full support for a smooth transition, thanking the management team for their cooperation during his tenure.
