‎Machakos County Accelerated CAIP Implementation as Governor Wavinya Ndeti Championed ‘Chakula Mezani, Pesa Mfukoni’ Agenda ‎

The County Government of Machakos County convened a high-level consultative Monitoring and Evaluation meeting with representatives from the State Department for Industry and the Council of Governors to assess progress on the transformative County Aggregation and Industrial Park (CAIP) project.
‎The meeting, chaired by Chief Officer for Industry and Innovation CPA Abdullahi Guliye, reviewed milestones achieved and evaluated preparedness toward the completion and operationalization of the park. Deliberations centered on strengthening value chain development, enhancing stakeholder engagement, building technical capacity on standards compliance, reinforcing backward linkages with farmers and producers, and increasing investor uptake.
‎The consultative session underscored the County Government’s commitment to fast-tracking industrialization under the visionary leadership of H.E. Wavinya Ndeti. Guided by her transformative agenda anchored on the slogan “Chakula Mezani, Pesa Mfukoni,” the Governor continued to prioritize food security, value addition, and household income growth across Machakos.
‎Governor Ndeti’s administration emphasized that the CAIP project would play a pivotal role in reducing post-harvest losses through aggregation, processing, and value addition for both local and export markets. By creating a structured market system and attracting strategic investors, the project was positioned to unlock new economic opportunities for farmers, traders, and small-scale enterprises.
‎The CAIP initiative was further aligned with the Governor’s broader development blueprint aimed at expanding shared prosperity, stimulating industrial growth, and creating sustainable employment for the youth and women of Machakos County. County officials reiterated that once operational, the park would serve as a catalyst for inclusive economic transformation and a model for county-led industrialization.

‎Through strategic partnerships with national government agencies and intergovernmental bodies, the County Government reaffirmed its resolve to deliver impactful projects that translated into tangible benefits for residents.
