Hon. Fredrick Kimanga Calls for Unity and Compassion During Lydia Kalola’s Burial

Residents of Utoo Village in Mutonguni Ward, Kitui West gathered in sorrow and unity during the burial ceremony of the late Lydia Makaa Mwanzia Kalola, a respected community member whose passing has left many devastated.

Among the leaders who joined the grieving family to console them was the incoming Fredrick Kimanga popularly known as Hon. Waziri Generali. Speaking during the emotional ceremony, Kimanga described the late Lydia as a woman of great humility, wisdom and dedication to family and society.

He conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the Kalola family, urging them to remain strong and united during the difficult moment of mourning. Kimanga noted that death is painful and heartbreaking, especially when it takes away loved ones who played a significant role in shaping the community.

“Today we stand together with the family of Lydia Makaa Mwanzia Kalola in grief and prayer. She was a caring and hardworking woman who touched the lives of many people. May God grant the family strength, comfort and peace during this painful period,” said Kimanga.

The leader further called upon residents of Mutonguni Ward and the larger Kitui County community to continue embracing unity, compassion and support for bereaved families whenever tragedy strikes.

Friends, relatives and local residents who attended the burial described the late Lydia as a kind-hearted and selfless woman who valued peace and togetherness. Emotional tributes and prayers filled the air as mourners celebrated her life and legacy.

The burial ceremony at Utoo Village brought together family members, church leaders, local residents and political leaders who joined hands in giving Lydia Makaa Mwanzia Kalola a dignified send-off.
