The Kitui County incoming Woman Representative, Fridah Makasi, on Sunday continued her intensified grassroots engagement tour across Kitui County through fellowship, worship and direct interaction with local youths.
Hon. Makasi first joined congregants at Adullam Fellowship Christian Church for a spiritually uplifting Sunday service where she worshipped alongside believers and encouraged Christians to remain steadfast in faith, unity and community service.
Later in the day, she proceeded to AIC Kavisuni where she also joined the faithful in worship, emphasizing the importance of prayer, peace and moral leadership in society. During her address, Hon. Makasi appreciated church leaders for their continued role in guiding communities and nurturing values that promote harmony and development.
After the church services, the aspiring Woman Representative held an engaging grassroots meeting with youths from Kavisuni area, where discussions centered on empowerment, leadership, employment opportunities and the future of young people in Kitui County.
The youths welcomed her warmly and expressed the need for inclusive leadership that prioritizes education, economic empowerment and youth representation in decision-making processes.
Hon. Makasi reaffirmed her commitment to working closely with the people at the grassroots level, noting that listening to the concerns of ordinary wananchi remains key in building a better and more inclusive Kitui County.
She further encouraged the youths to remain united, focused and actively involved in leadership and community development initiatives.
