Kisoi Tears Into Maanzo Over Anita Mutula Remarks, Declares: “Makueni Women Will Not Be Humiliated for Political Gain”

Former Mbooni MP Michael Kisoi Munyao has launched a blistering attack on Makueni Senator Daniel Kitonga Maanzo over controversial remarks allegedly directed at Makueni First Lady Anita Mutula, terming the statements reckless, disrespectful, and an insult to the dignity of women across the county.

Speaking amid growing public debate, Kisoi accused the senator of crossing the line of political decency by allegedly dragging the First Lady into political battles. He said leaders must be held accountable for their words and warned that voters are increasingly rejecting politics built on personal attacks and disrespect.

Kisoi argued that the alleged remarks were not merely directed at Anita Mutula but were perceived by many as an affront to all women in Makueni who expect leaders to uphold respect and integrity in public discourse.

“The people of Makueni are watching. Women cannot continue to be used as targets of political attacks. Leadership is about ideas, development, and service not insults and intimidation,” Kisoi said.

The former legislator further claimed that the controversy could have lasting political consequences for Maanzo, arguing that many residents have been angered by the remarks and are demanding greater respect for women in leadership.

Kisoi challenged political leaders to focus on addressing the needs of wananchi rather than engaging in confrontational rhetoric that divides communities and lowers the standards of public debate.

He vowed to continue speaking out against what he described as attempts to demean women for political purposes, insisting that the era when female leaders and spouses of public officials could be subjected to public ridicule without consequences was over.

The sharp criticism has intensified political tensions in Makueni, with the dispute now dominating discussions across the county as leaders and residents weigh in on the importance of respectful leadership and the treatment of women in public life.
