“I Will Never Forgive You for Insulting My Wife” Governor Mutula Kilonzo Jnr Vows as Row With Senator Maanzo Escalates

Makueni Governor Mutula Kilonzo Jnr has launched a fierce attack against Makueni Senator Daniel Kitonga Maanzo, declaring that he will never forgive the senator for allegedly insulting his wife, Anita Mutula, in a leaked audio recording that has sparked widespread debate across the county.

Speaking amid the growing political storm, Governor Mutula expressed deep anger and disappointment over the remarks attributed to Senator Maanzo, saying that the comments crossed the line of political decency and amounted to a personal attack on his family.

“I will never forgive you for insulting my wife,” the governor said, maintaining that political competition should never extend to family members who are not directly involved in political battles.

Mutula stated that leaders have a responsibility to uphold respect and dignity in public discourse, adding that attacks directed at women undermine the values of leadership and mutual respect. He argued that while political leaders may differ on policies and governance, family members should be kept out of political confrontations.

The governor further accused Senator Maanzo of engaging in politics of personal attacks instead of focusing on issues affecting the people of Makueni County. He said the alleged remarks had caused pain not only to his family but also to many residents who believe women deserve respect regardless of political affiliations.

The leaked audio has continued to generate intense reactions across Makueni, with supporters of both leaders taking opposing positions. A section of leaders and residents have condemned the alleged remarks and called for civility and restraint among political leaders as the county prepares for future political contests.

Governor Mutula reiterated that respect for women must remain a fundamental principle in society and vowed to continue defending the dignity and reputation of his family.

The latest confrontation marks a new chapter in the growing political rivalry between Governor Mutula Kilonzo Jnr and Senator Daniel Kitonga Maanzo, setting the stage for an increasingly heated political landscape in Makueni County.
