Governor Dr. Julius Malombe has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to embracing technology-driven governance following a high-level meeting with a Safaricom delegation that explored innovative solutions aimed at transforming service delivery across Kitui County.
The delegation, led by Madam Josephine Mwikali, Safaricom’s Head of Medium Enterprise and County Engagements, paid a courtesy call to the Governor’s office, where discussions centered on leveraging modern technology to enhance efficiency, accountability, and responsiveness within county operations.
Among the key proposals presented were integrated digital platforms designed to streamline government services, advanced cybersecurity systems to protect sensitive citizen data, and smart technologies for water metering and fleet management. The solutions are expected to help the county improve resource utilization, reduce operational costs, and strengthen service delivery to residents.
Governor Malombe noted that technology has become an indispensable tool in modern governance and emphasized the importance of strategic partnerships with leading industry players to accelerate development and improve the lives of Kitui residents.
