H.E. Governor Wavinya Ndeti, EGH, has reaffirmed her administration’s commitment to delivering quality and accessible healthcare by officially opening Ngulini Dispensary, a modern health facility that will provide essential medical services to thousands of residents in the area.
The new dispensary is expected to serve approximately 4,500 residents from Ngulini, Muisuni, Mususye, Kambai, and Kithatani villages, significantly reducing the distance community members travel to access primary healthcare services.
Speaking during the commissioning, Governor Wavinya Ndeti emphasized that strengthening healthcare infrastructure remains one of her administration’s key priorities as the County Government works towards achieving Universal Health Coverage. She noted that every Machakos resident deserves timely, affordable, and quality healthcare regardless of where they live.
The impact of the facility is already evident. Since it began offering services, patient attendance has grown steadily, with the average number of patients rising from 80 per month in 2022 to approximately 500 per month in 2026. The sharp increase underscores both the growing demand for healthcare services and the confidence residents have in the facility.
The establishment of Ngulini Dispensary is part of Governor Wavinya Ndeti’s broader agenda to strengthen Primary Health Care across Machakos County by expanding health infrastructure, bringing services closer to communities, and improving health outcomes for residents.
The commissioning marks another milestone in the county’s ongoing investment in the health sector, ensuring more families can access affordable, quality medical care while advancing the realization of Universal Health Coverage across Machakos County.
