Sidian Bank Relocates Kitui Branch, Expands Presence

Sidian Bank officially relocated its Kitui branch to a more accessible location in Kitui Town, now situated opposite the Mulimall building. The relocation marks a strategic move aimed at enhancing service delivery and accessibility for customers, especially small-scale entrepreneurs in the region.

Speaking during the relocation ceremony, Sidian Bank’s Chief Executive Officer, Chege Thumbi, announced that the bank now has a presence in all 47 counties of Kenya. He emphasized Sidian’s commitment to supporting small and medium enterprises (SMEs) through accessible financial solutions.

“Our goal has always been to walk with the entrepreneurs of this country. With our presence in all counties, we are better positioned to reach more Kenyans, offering them not just banking services, but the financial empowerment they need to grow their businesses,” said Thumbi.

Jefferson Kasango, the Kitui Branch Manager, also addressed the media, highlighting the bank’s favorable lending rates designed to uplift local entrepreneurs. “Our loan rates, ranging between 17% and 21%, are tailored to suit small business owners here in Kitui. We encourage aspiring entrepreneurs to take advantage of these opportunities to start and expand their businesses,” he said.

Also present at the event was Madam Loise, the Branches Manager, who expressed her optimism about the branch’s new location and its potential to serve more clients effectively.

The relocation of Sidian Bank’s Kitui branch reflects the institution’s broader mission to drive financial inclusion and stimulate economic growth at the grassroots level.
