Nicholas Mulila Champions Better Healthcare, Rallies Kitui Residents for Landmark Free Medical Camp

Kitui County gubernatorial hopeful Hon. Nicholas Mulila has intensified his efforts to champion quality and accessible healthcare by urging residents across the county to turn out in large numbers for the upcoming M-Pesa Foundation Free Medical Camp scheduled for Saturday, July 18, 2026, at Tiva Comprehensive Primary School in Kitui Central Sub-county.

Hon. Mulila, who has consistently advocated for improved healthcare services for the people of Kitui, said the medical outreach presents a rare opportunity for residents to receive specialized treatment and medical consultations free of charge. He called on families from all parts of the county to take advantage of the initiative, noting that access to quality healthcare remains a fundamental right for every citizen.

The free medical camp, organized by the M-Pesa Foundation in partnership with the County Government of Kitui, will run from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and will offer a wide range of services, including general consultations, specialist care, laboratory tests, X-ray, ultrasound and ECG services, eye care, women’s health services, dental screening, cancer screening, disability assessment, therapy services, free medication, blood donation, and cleft screening.

Hon. Mulila emphasized that the health and well-being of Kitui residents must remain a top priority, saying no one should be left behind due to the high cost of medical care. He encouraged wananchi to mobilize their relatives, friends, and neighbours to attend the camp and benefit from the comprehensive healthcare services on offer.

“As we continue working towards a healthier Kitui, I urge every resident to seize this opportunity and seek medical attention. Good health is the foundation of a productive society, and together we can build a stronger and healthier county,” he said.

Residents are therefore encouraged to attend the free medical camp in large numbers and receive quality treatment and screening services at no cost. The initiative is expected to benefit thousands of people from Kitui Central and neighbouring areas.
