In a significant step towards strengthening security in Kitui County, Governor Dr. Julius Malombe has announced plans to establish a police post at Yatta B2 Ranch. The move aims to enhance safety and maintain law and order in the region, particularly in areas under the B2 Yatta Ranching Cooperative Society.
The governor made the announcement during the official signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the County Government of Kitui and the B2 Yatta Ranching Cooperative Society. The event was held at the County Headquarters, where key stakeholders gathered to witness the landmark agreement.
“This police post will be a major boost to the security infrastructure in this region. It will help address longstanding concerns over safety and ensure that the ranching community and surrounding areas are protected,” Dr. Malombe stated.
The MoU outlines a collaborative framework between the county administration and the cooperative society to promote development, improve resource management, and ensure peaceful co-existence within the ranching area.
Local leaders and representatives of the cooperative society lauded the governor’s initiative, expressing optimism that the police post would deter criminal activity and create a conducive environment for investment and growth.
The proposed security facility is expected to serve not only the Yatta B2 Ranch but also neighboring communities, reinforcing the county’s broader commitment to improving security and public safety across Kitui.
Governor Malombe reiterated his administration’s dedication to supporting community-driven development and ensuring that peace and security remain a priority for the region.
