Fridah Makasi supports Wendo wa Musyau Welfare, applauds community unity in Mulango

Kitui Women Representative hopeful Hon. Fridah Makasi has reaffirmed her commitment to strengthening community welfare groups after visiting Wendo wa Musyau Welfare in Mulango Ward, Kitui Central Constituency.

During the visit, Hon. Makasi commended members of the welfare group for their dedication to promoting unity, mutual support, and community development. She noted that such grassroots organizations play a vital role in uplifting families by standing together during both joyful and difficult moments.

As a gesture of appreciation for the group’s outstanding work, Hon. Makasi made a financial contribution to the welfare kitty, encouraging members to continue fostering the spirit of togetherness and self-reliance.

Speaking during the event, she emphasized that empowering welfare groups is key to building stronger and more resilient communities.
“We believe in welfare groups because they embody the true spirit of utu na watu humanity, unity, and caring for one another.
When communities support each other, everyone has a better chance of succeeding,” said Hon. Makasi.

Members of Wendo wa Musyau Welfare expressed their gratitude for Hon. Makasi’s support and recognition, describing her as a leader who values grassroots initiatives and understands the importance of community-driven development.

Hon. Makasi has continued to champion community empowerment across Kitui County, with welfare groups, women, youth, and vulnerable families remaining at the center of her vision for an inclusive and prosperous county.
