Governor Wavinya Ndeti Restores Reliable Water Supply to Over 1,400 Households Through Rehabilitation of Kamanzi ABC Borehole.

Governor Wavinya Ndeti has strengthened access to clean and safe water in Kangundo East Ward through the rehabilitation of the Kamanzi ABC Borehole in Iia-Itune Sub Location, reaffirming her administration’s commitment to improving the quality of life for residents across Machakos County.The project involved the rehabilitation of the borehole and the extension of a water reticulation system to 10 water distribution points, Kamanzi Primary School, Kamanzi Secondary School, and surrounding churches. The improved water infrastructure will serve more than 1,400 households in Kamanzi, Sisyani, and Iia-Itune villages, ensuring a reliable and sustainable supply of clean water.The rehabilitation is expected to significantly improve public health and sanitation by enhancing access to safe water, while easing the burden of long-distance water collection, particularly for women, children, and the elderly. The project will also support a better learning environment by providing schools with a dependable water supply and strengthening community institutions that rely on the resource.The initiative reflects Governor Wavinya Ndeti’s continued investment in transformative water projects that are improving livelihoods, promoting healthy communities, and driving sustainable development across Machakos County.
