National Liberal Party leader Dr Augustus Kyalo Muli has declared his intention to contest the Kitui Central parliamentary seat, promising to use the party as a vehicle for advancing the interests of the people of Kitui County and the wider Ukambani region.
Speaking during the National Liberal Party Summit held at Kitui Stadium, Kyalo vowed that the party would not be beholden to any individual leader or political establishment at the expense of the people.
Kyalo said the National Liberal Party would remain committed to pursuing partnerships and political engagements that deliver tangible benefits to residents, regardless of who holds political power.
He maintained that the interests of Kitui residents and the wider Ukambani community would remain at the centre of his political agenda, pledging to champion development, empowerment and better opportunities for the people.
