Residents of Kitui South have sent a strong political message to those seeking to challenge the leadership of Rachael Kaki Nyamai, declaring that they remain firmly behind their sitting Member of Parliament and are prepared to give her another term in the 2027 elections.
The residents, while responding to remarks attributed to Gladys Kivoto, dismissed what they described as “mere propaganda and empty talk”, insisting that their political decision will be based on the leadership record and development agenda they associate with Kaki Nyamai.
“We will not listen to your mere propaganda and empty talk. We remain loyal to our super MP, and we will vote for her again come 2027,” the residents said.
The declaration comes as political activity continues to intensify in Kitui South ahead of the 2027 General Election, with aspiring leaders seeking to build support across the constituency.
For Kaki Nyamai’s supporters, however, the message is clear: they believe her political journey in Kitui South is far from over and are determined to stand with her at the ballot.
With the 2027 contest expected to attract heightened political competition, the latest show of support signals that the constituency could witness a fiercely contested race as rival camps position themselves to win the confidence of voters.
