Frida Maua Urges Kitui Residents to Register as Voters

Kyome Thaana Ward nominated MCA Frida Maua has urged residents of Kitui County, especially those in Mwingi West Sub-County, to register as voters in large numbers ahead of the upcoming general elections.

Speaking during a local engagement, Maua emphasized that voter registration is key to ensuring citizens have a voice in leadership and development decisions. She called on youth, women, and all eligible voters to take the exercise seriously and turn out in large numbers.

Maua further noted that through engagements with the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) at the County Assembly, residents who are far from their home areas can still register and specify their preferred polling centres without the need to travel back home.

Maua, who is seen as the incoming MCA for Kyome Thaana Ward in 2027, reaffirmed her commitment to mobilizing residents and promoting active participation in the democratic process.
