Residents of Kyandui in Mulango Ward are set to benefit from improved healthcare services after Governor Dr. Julius Malombe supported the full acquisition of land for the expansion of Kyandui Dispensary.
The initiative, led by the County Government of Kitui through the Ministry of Health and Sanitation in collaboration with the Ministries of Lands, Housing and Urban Development, and Roads, Public Works and Transport, aims to facilitate the construction of a maternity wing at the facility.
The expansion project is intended to address the need for accessible maternal and newborn healthcare services by reducing the distance expectant mothers travel to access skilled care.
Residents welcomed the development, noting that it responds directly to their long-standing request for improved healthcare infrastructure in the area.
This initiative demonstrates the county’s commitment to delivering the Kitui Promise through initiatives that improve lives and strengthen essential public services.
