Governor Wavinya Ndeti Hosts Senate ICT Committee, Pledges to Champion Accountability and Digital Transformation

Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti has reaffirmed her administration’s commitment to leveraging technology to strengthen service delivery, efficiency, and accountability across the county.

Governor Wavinya on Monday hosted the Senate Standing Committee on Information, Communication, and Technology (ICT), led by its Chairperson Hon. Allan Chesang. The high-level meeting focused on reviewing the county’s ICT infrastructure and its role in transforming critical sectors, particularly revenue collection and hospital management systems.

Speaking during the engagement, Governor Wavinya emphasized that digital transformation remains at the heart of her administration’s development agenda. She noted that modern ICT systems are not only streamlining service delivery but also sealing revenue loopholes and ensuring transparency in public operations.

“Machakos County is determined to be a trailblazer in embracing ICT for effective service delivery. From revenue collection to hospital management systems, we are ensuring that technology works for the people by enhancing accountability, improving efficiency, and eliminating corruption,” Governor Wavinya affirmed.

The Governor further assured the Senate Committee of her administration’s unwavering commitment to work hand in hand with the Senate and other oversight institutions to safeguard public resources and ensure that every development initiative delivers maximum impact to the people of Machakos.

Senate ICT Committee Chairperson Hon. Allan Chesang commended Governor Wavinya for her leadership and the strides Machakos has made in adopting ICT-driven solutions. He pledged the Committee’s continued support in strengthening the county’s digital agenda.

Governor Wavinya has over time positioned Machakos as a model of good governance and accountability, insisting that service delivery must always be people-centered.
