Governor Wavinya Ndeti has reaffirmed her commitment to transforming markets across Machakos County with the launch of the newly constructed Tala Market stalls, providing traders with a modern, safe and dignified business environment.
The new market replaces makeshift structures with well-organised stalls that enhance the trading experience for both vendors and customers. Traders can now operate in a secure and more conducive environment, while shoppers benefit from improved accessibility and comfort.
The upgraded facility is expected to stimulate commercial activity, strengthen small businesses, create employment opportunities and increase household incomes. The project reflects Governor Wavinya Ndeti’s vision of creating vibrant economic centres that empower local entrepreneurs, foster sustainable economic growth and position Tala as a thriving commercial hub in Machakos County.
