Hon. Dr. Makali Mulu Urges Kitui Residents to Register as Voters Ahead of 2027 General Elections

Kitui Central Member of Parliament, Hon. Dr. Makali Mulu, CBS, has called on Kitui residents to come out in large numbers and register as voters in readiness for the 2027 General Elections, emphasizing that civic participation is the cornerstone of meaningful transformation in the county and the nation at large.

Speaking during the burial ceremony of the late Grace Kavunge Musyoki at Katheani in Kauwi Ward, Kitui West Constituency, Dr. Makali — who is also widely regarded as the incoming “Super Governor” of Kitui County in 2027 urged residents not to take the voter registration exercise lightly, noting that every vote counts in shaping the future of governance and development in the region.

“If we want real change in our county and country, it must begin with you and me registering as voters. This is the most powerful tool we have to determine our leadership and destiny,” Dr. Makali stated.

The MP also urged residents to show strong political unity and participation by turning up in large numbers on Monday, October 6, 2025, for a meet-the-people event in Kitui County to be led by H.E. Dr. Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka, the Wiper Democratic Movement Kenya Party Leader and former Vice President.

Dr. Makali reiterated his unwavering commitment to championing the interests of Kitui people through accountable leadership, inclusive development, and the pursuit of opportunities that uplift local communities.

The event at Katheani was attended by local leaders, community elders, clergy, and residents who praised Dr. Makali for his humility, accessibility, and development-oriented leadership that has continued to impact lives across Kitui County.
