Hon. Fridah Makasi Demonstrates Grassroots Leadership at Akitutu Clan Meeting and Fundraiser in Kitui Rural

The race for the Kitui County Woman Representative seat in 2027 continued to gather momentum after Kitui County incoming Women Rep hopeful, Fridah Makasi, demonstrated her growing grassroots influence during a major community event held at Kimuuni kwa Nganya Village in Kisasi and Mbitini Ward, Kitui Rural Constituency.

The well-attended meeting brought together members of the Akitutu Clan for a special fundraising initiative aimed at supporting the construction of a community hall as well as boosting the clan’s Community-Based Organization (CBO) account to enhance local development activities.

Hon. Makasi, who has continued to position herself as a people-centered and visionary leader ahead of the 2027 elections, received a warm reception from residents and local opinion leaders who praised her commitment to empowering communities at the grassroots level.

Speaking during the gathering, Makasi emphasized the importance of unity, self-reliance, and community-driven development, noting that organized community groups and strong CBOs play a critical role in uplifting families economically and socially.

She further encouraged residents to continue embracing collective initiatives that promote development, social cohesion, and economic empowerment, adding that sustainable progress can only be achieved when leaders and citizens work together.

The women rep aspirant also applauded the Akitutu Clan for spearheading the hall construction project, describing it as a visionary initiative that will provide a permanent venue for meetings, social functions, and community empowerment programs.

Political observers noted that Makasi’s continued presence in grassroots functions across Kitui County is steadily strengthening her political network and increasing her popularity among local communities ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Residents who attended the event expressed confidence in her leadership abilities, describing her as accessible, development-oriented, and passionate about the welfare of ordinary wananchi.

The fundraiser ended successfully with leaders and residents pledging continued support towards the completion of the hall project and the strengthening of the clan’s development agenda.
