Hon. Fridah Makasi, the incoming Kitui Woman Representative on the Wiper Patriotic Front ticket, has pledged to advocate for improved healthcare services across Kitui County, with special attention to maternal and child health.
Speaking during a community health awareness forum, Hon. Makasi said access to quality healthcare is a fundamental right that should be available to every resident regardless of their location or economic status.
She noted that expectant mothers, children, the elderly, and persons living with disabilities require accessible and affordable healthcare services to improve their quality of life.
Hon. Makasi pledged to support initiatives aimed at equipping health facilities, improving medical services, promoting preventive healthcare, and expanding community health programmes.
She also encouraged residents to prioritize regular health check-ups and healthy lifestyles while reaffirming her commitment to supporting policies that strengthen the healthcare sector in Kitui County.
