Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi Leads Successful KSh 18 Million Church Fundraiser in Kitui West

Oscar Sudi on Sunday led a highly successful church fundraiser at St. Martin’s Kwa Mutonga Parish in Kwa Mutonga, Kithumula Ward, Kitui West Constituency, Kitui County, in support of the completion of the church project.

The colorful and well-attended fundraiser brought together political leaders, faithful, and residents from across the region, with more than KSh 18 million raised towards the ongoing construction and completion of the church.

Hon. Sudi, who was the chief guest during the event, said he had been sent by William Ruto to deliver the President’s contribution towards the church project. Sudi conveyed greetings from the Head of State and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting faith-based institutions across the country.

The Kapsabet legislator emphasized the importance of supporting places of worship, noting that churches play a vital role in promoting moral values, unity, and peaceful coexistence within society. He praised the dedication and commitment shown by Christians of St. Martin’s Parish towards the development of the church.

Hon. Sudi was accompanied by Kimani Ichung’wah alongside several Members of Parliament and other political leaders who joined the congregation in the noble initiative.
Speaking during the fundraiser, Hon. Ichung’wah applauded the unity displayed by leaders and worshippers, noting that development can only be achieved when leaders and citizens work together towards a common goal. He encouraged Kenyans to continue supporting community-driven projects aimed at uplifting society.

The leaders also commended the church for its continued role in nurturing spiritual growth and guiding young people towards responsible living. They reaffirmed their commitment to supporting development projects that directly impact communities.

Residents and faithful who attended the event expressed their joy and gratitude following the overwhelming support received during the fundraiser. Church leaders noted that the amount raised would significantly boost the completion of the church project and help improve worship facilities for the growing congregation.

The event was marked by prayers, worship sessions, and contributions from various leaders and well-wishers, turning the fundraiser into a major success for the St. Martin’s Kwa Mutonga Parish community.
