Kibwezi West Raises Ksh. 7.5 Million to Empower Women in Landmark Makindu Event

In a powerful demonstration of unity and community-driven development, residents of Kibwezi West gathered in Makindu and raised over Ksh. 7.5 million to support and empower local women.

The fundraising event was graced by dignitaries including Rt. Hon. Amason Kingi, Sir Farouk Kibet, members of parliament, teachers, and various well-wishers. The initiative was widely applauded as a step towards socio-economic transformation in the region.

Hon. Mwengi Mutuse, OGW, MP for Kibwezi West, extended his heartfelt gratitude to all supporters, with special recognition to President William Ruto for his consistent backing of women empowerment efforts.

Addressing the enthusiastic crowd, Hon. Mutuse praised the women of Kibwezi West for their overwhelming turnout and commitment to values of peace, unity, and development, rejecting divisive politics rooted in tribalism and poverty.

“Pesa mfukoni kwa kina mama,” he stated, emphasizing that investing in women leads to prosperity for the entire community.

The event marked another milestone in Kibwezi West’s journey towards inclusive growth and underscored why the constituency is often hailed as a model of progress.
